Fellowship

Many annual fellowship events are held throughout the year, including our golf outing, parish picnic, and Thanksgiving and Easter brunches. Events for our young families include bowling, roller skating, holiday parties, and movie nights (to name a few!). Check Facebook or our calendar for upcoming events!

Sunday School

SUNDAY SCHOOL & YOUTH GROUP

For the younger children, we incorporate hands-on activities, singing, crafts, bible stories, and videos. For the youth, we focus more on discussions and service projects to give them a solid foundation for their life-long journey with Christ. Read more about Sunday school here

ADULT EDUCATION

St. Hugh has a wide range of classes available to help in our continuing walk with Christ: Rector's Class, Book Club, and a wide variety of Bible Studies are available throughout the year. Whatever your needs, we can find a time and day that works for you. Check the calendar for upcoming classes or contact us about current offerings.

We offer a variety of Special Services throughout the year. The Easter Programs & Egg Hunt, Outdoor services and the annual Pet Blessing, offer unique opportunities to worship and to glorify God. Look for these events on Facebook or our calendar!

CHOIR & MUSIC

Music is a vibrant part of St. Hugh's activities and worship. The music at the10:30AM service is a blended style of worship with traditional hymns and contemporary music. WORSHIP ASSISTANTS

Many hands make light the work and our parishioners enjoy taking an active role in Sunday services. Available roles include greeter, usher, acolyte, reader, nursery aide, altar guild, and coffee hour host. A rotating schedule ensures that each role is filled. R.E.L.I.C.S.

Retired Episcopal Ladies in Christ's Service) is predominantly a service and fundraising organization. The RELICS have contributed to many local, regional, national,and international organizations since their inception. Check the calendar for upcoming R.E.L.I.C.S. meetings and fundraising events.

SOUP KITCHEN & LOCAL CHARITY

St. Hugh provides help to the local Elgin community in a variety of ways. Feeding guests at the Soup Kettle, donating food and supplies to the Community Crisis Center, and volunteering at Food For Greater Elgin are some of our favorite programs. Charity

MILITARY & 1st RESPONDERS PRAYER 

St. Hugh has constructed a special Eucharistic liturgy to support the friends and family of service members and to pray for peace. Service persons, whose names we've been given, are prayed for by name and are sent birthday cards. Click here for service times!

Military/1st Responders

kid's choir

At St. Hugh, we want everyone to be a part of our Sunday service and that includes our youngest members! Sunday school students who choose to participate will work with our music director to learn a song and perform for the congregation during the offertory on Family Sunday each month. Talk with your child's Sunday school teacher to learn more!
