Marion Phipps rector St Hugh Elgin

REV. Marion phipps

Marion has been priest at St. Hugh parish since 2010. An Episcopalian since birth, she grew up in the faith and was the daughter of a priest. Prior to becoming ordained, Marion spent time working as a teacher and a social worker. In 2006, she attended Seabury Seminary to complete her Master's of Divinity. When Father Tom Atamian retired, Marion came on as priest-in-charge before being selected to serve as full-time rector at St. Hugh in 2011. She loves sharing Jesus' message, serving God's people, and seeing our congregation grow.

Dr Margaret Brady organist St. Hugh Elgin

Dr. Margaret Brady

Director of Music

Margaret became our director of music in 2012. Her talents and passion for music add a vibrant element to our worship services each week! In addition to leading the choir and playing organ at our 10:30 am service, Margaret also plans several special music performances for our congregation throughout the year. We are very fortunate to share her with Church of the Redeemer in downtown Elgin.

Nursery Lead

Along with volunteers from the congregation, Leslie works faithfully in our nursery to care for our youngest parishioners! She has a great passion for children, that extends beyond her role in our nursery. Since 2004, Leslie has served as a resident care assistant for a local children's home, caring for residents with developmental delays and special healthcare needs.
