Lent at
St. Hugh
Lent is a special season in the Church which leads up to the Easter season. During Lent, we remember Jesus's time in the wilderness after he was baptized before he began his ministry. Lent offers each of us the opportunity to take on practices to grow our faith and “to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God's holy Word.” (Book of Common Prayer p. 265).
